Management Biographies


Prior to founding Dividend Health Mr. Bruggemann developed extensive experience in the group employer market over his 18 year tenure with Johnson Rooney Welch, Inc., a managing general underwriter specializing in group AD&D, Term Life & Travel Assistance. He was responsible for group sales, marketing and developing relationships predominantly with large employers, employee benefit insurance brokerage and consulting firms.

Mr. Bruggemann founded Lifeguard Benefit Services, Inc., a specialized program management company which designed, managed and serviced key aspects of health benefit programs for employers, associations, insurance agencies and enrollment centers. As the CEO, LBS experienced revenue growth from $0 to $25 million within 3 years, prior to its sale.

Mr. Bruggemann founded Lifeguard Emergency Travel, Inc., a company which specialized in travel assistance program management within the employer and association insurance markets. Over its 13 years, as the CEO Bruggemann lead LET’s growth from zero members to over 5 million covered families, maintaining approximately 3000 employer groups and dozens of association clients prior to merging with LBS.

Mr. Bruggemann currently maintains accident, health & life Insurance licenses in all 50 states and D.C. He has founded or acquired several consumer benefit companies and associations throughout his career, providing management oversight regarding sales, compliance, customer service, fulfillment, claims tracking, billing, collections, data management and commission accounting.

Mr. Bruggemann began his career in the aviation industry working in operations, sales and as an aspiring commercial pilot. He holds commercial instrument and multi-engine pilot ratings and acquired an FAR Part 135 commercial operating certificate in 1993. Previously he graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science.

Quickly mastering new challenges, he combined financial acumen and business savvy to develop new approaches and exploit opportunities for revenue and profit growth.

Mr. Hunter’s past experience includes SVP of Operations of a $2 billion + health insurance company, overseeing functions including new business, underwriting, claims, customer service, compliance, facilities, etc. He also managed and strategically directed a nationwide full-service motor club with 500,000+ members and $50M in annual revenue. Accountable for the corporate functions of sales, marketing, membership services, product development, legal and full P&L.

Mr. Hunter’s credentials include a BS in Accounting from Jacksonville State University. He has often been described as a highly competent strategic thinker who will always grasp the big picture and not get distracted by the less important noise. Winning cooperation at all levels, operate equally well in the board room and on the shop floor.
